April 2008 – Scott Armstrong named Vice President.

Scott Armstrong was recently named Vice President of A. J. Armstrong, Inc. Scott joined AJA, Inc. five years ago as a Project Manager and this month rose to the level of VP of the company. Please join is in congratulating Scott and hoping for many more productive years to come.


April 2008 – Cicero Town Plaza Announces Three New Tenants

The still under-construction Cicero Town Plaza on State Road #19 in Cicero, IN is pleased to announce the signing of the first three tenants to the plaza. Tipton Hospital is locating a medical office building here, Dr. Scott Thole will provide dental services from his new office here, and Day’s Pharmacy will open a new location here as well. There is still a little space available in this popular location, with some additional land available for development adjacent.

A. J. Armstrong, Inc. is providing owner’s representation services for this project by GDR Development.


March 2008 – MedTech College to open two new locations.

Longtime A. J. Armstrong, Inc. client MedTech College is planning to open two new locations in summer of 2008. A. J. Armstrong, Inc. found the locations, negotiated the leases, and will oversee the build-outs of both a second Indianapolis campus and a new Fort Wayne campus.

We are very pleased at the continued growth of our client and wish them all of the best in their new endeavors.

MedTech College offers post-secondary degrees in health related fields covering many careers including RN degree programs.


February 2008 – Two Men and a Truck opens new Fishers Location

The Hamilton County/Northern Marion County Two Men and a Truck franchise opened their new Fishers location this month. Look for the new building with the fancy striping right off of I-69 at the 116th Street Exit. This new facility replaces a leased space in Noblesville and is the result of years of work and planning on the parts of the Werling family who are the franchisees. It provides great visibility for their trucks, creating an excellent marketing resource.

A. J. Armstrong, Inc provided site location and construction owner’s representation services to the owners for this new facility.

Two Men and a Truck provides residential and light commercial moving services with an emphasis on customer service. They are “movers who care”. Please join us in welcoming them to their new home.


January 2008 – Independent Residential Living opens New Headquarters

After a long process of fund-raising, changes in leadership, and site relocations Independent Residential Living opened the doors of their beautiful new Indianapolis headquarters building. Moving from leased space outside of Indianapolis to owned space that is in the heart of their service area and four times the size they had previously is a boon to both the organization and the clients they serve.

A. J. Armstrong, Inc. is proud to have been Owner’s Representative for this United Way Agency and is happy to have done our part to ensure the great works of this organization will continue. As with all not-for-profit clients, AJA, Inc. reduced the standard fee involved on a project of this type.

IRL clients are mentally or developmentally challenged adults who wish to learn the skills and have the supports to live on their own. IRL provides these supports and keeps a watchful eye on their clients as they move towards successful independence.


January 2008 – MacAllister Machinery Chooses A. J. Armstrong, Inc.

A. J. Armstrong, Inc. was selected as Owner’s Representative by MacAllister Machinery for their proposed construction of a new Indianapolis and Corporate Headquarters Campus. This exciting project will last several years and transform MacAllister’s facility into a more modern, efficient, and customer-friendly operation. MacAllister Machinery is the Indiana dealer and service-provider for Caterpillar Equipment.

Architect selection is currently underway with contractor selection expected later in 2009.

A. J. Armstrong is proud to have been selected for this challenging project and look forward to delivering a facility that MacAllister and all of their customers can be proud to call home.


October 2007 – A. J. Armstrong, Inc Selected by Ameriana Bank

To help shepherd them through their aggressive new expansion plan, Ameriana Bank has selected A. J. Armstrong, Inc as their Owner’s Representative. Ameriana selected AJA, Inc. because of their long history of successful projects in similar areas. They appreciate the fact that AJA, Inc. is strictly an Owner’s Representative firm without internal conflicts with other disciplines.

Be on the lookout for new and remodeled Ameriana Banks throughout the greater Indianapolis area.

Scott Armstrong named a recipient of 2008 Mayor's Community Service Award

Vice President Scott Armstrong was recognized by Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard on December 16th, 2008 as one of 21 Citywide recipients of the Mayor's Community Service Award.  He was recognized for, among other things, his work in two IPS schools, extensive neighborhood work, Rotary involvement, and youth sports programs participation.

July 2008 – A. J. Armstrong, Inc. Launches New Website

Since you are reading this, you are probably aware that we have completely revamped and updated our website in the past month. Greg Albright Design assisted us in bringing our website up to date, making it more user-friendly, and more attractive to the user. You will see many more photos than on our previous website, and more information overall.

We plan to keep our site more continuously updated, so please e-mail with any suggestions that you might have on how to make it better.
